Description of the study
As a result of this project, Asseco Poland S.A. became the first IT/ICT sector company in Poland to use its proprietary platform to elevate the technological readiness of the prototype, subsequently deploying it into production of business applications for the Utilities sector by international IT firms.
The process innovations developed during the project are currently being implemented in the area of open architecture models and a regression testing component, which enables automation of system error diagnostics and operational monitoring. Implementing the prototype solution for regression testing will directly reduce production costs (client installations), and also decrease subsequent maintenance and service costs of the Asseco Utilities Management International Solutions system.
The project has led to the deployment of a modular business application that allows for selecting features suited to the market's character and size, as well as the client's organizational structure within the Utilities sector and its operating environment and IT infrastructure.
The project's completion enables the product's internationalization, facilitating its mass sales in foreign markets via distribution channels backed by a partnership network of Asseco Group's subsidiaries in the European Union and other European countries.
System prototype
The project's final output is a tested platform solution prototype at the highest level of technological readiness, a globally unique production model capable of introducing product innovations based on the initial functionality of the first example application, competing with the world’s leading IT/ICT system manufacturers.
Implication of the prototype on a research platform and testing in various environments led to a level of technological readiness to obtain a development platform (Framework) with an application structure and mechanisms defined as a result of empirical research, with an iteratively tested regression testing component.
