Medical institutions throughout Poland are facing the challenge of implementing electronic medical documentation (EDM) and continuous improvement of the quality of services offered. The Opolskie Voivodeship has just made a big step in building e-Health in its region. The Opole Rehabilitation Center in Korfantów, the Independent Public Healthcare Center ZOZ in Głuchołazy, the Independent Public Healthcare Center in Kędzierzyn-Koźle, the Healthcare Center in Biała,Neurosis Therapy Center in Moszna and the Medical School Complex in Brzeg have signed an agreement with Asseco Poland - the leader among software providers for the health care sector. It includes implementation of the system of electronic medical documentation and increasing the functionality of the existing ones, launching new e-services for patients, as well as modernization of the integrated IT system (HIS), which runs in these institutions.
I am glad that we will be able to implement this project, so important for the whole voivodeship. Informatization of the health care system is conducted primarily with patients in mind and I hope that soon they will feel positive effects of building e-health in the Opolskie region, said Jan Butkiewicz, Director of the Health Care Division at Asseco Poland. An example of an innovative solution that will be implemented is a virtual assistant, thanks to which patients will be able to quickly find a suitable unit and a doctor who will take care of their illness.
The whole investment will take place within the framework of the project "Popularization of the e-services provision within the cooperation network of medical units and educational institution in the Opolskie Voivodeship".

Asseco Poland is the largest Polish IT company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE). For over 27 years it has been creating technologically advanced software for companies and institutions from key sectors of the economy. It is a leader in the market of IT solutions for healthcare and a manufacturer of proprietary IT solutions used by over 450 hospitals in Poland, units of the National Health Fund, blood donation and blood transfusion centers, health resorts, as well as about 10,000 clinics and doctor's offices.

At Asseco, we are constantly thinking about the future and are engaged in projects promoting the development of innovation and information technology. Therefore, we have created the Asseco for the Future program, under which we support talented teams participating in technology competitions in Poland and around the world. We are also pleased to be able to support Spice Gears, which specializes in robotics. We keep fingers crossed for our team, said Artur Wiza, Vice President of the Management Board of Asseco Poland.
On August 19, the Spice Gears group visited the Asseco office in Warsaw to present the team for the Olympics and show what the robots it constructs are capable of. The team will once again represent the country as Team Poland. The team for the FIRST Global Challenge includes: Dominika Mazur, Agnieszka Sych, Jan Gryta, Łukasz Nawrocki oraz Kamil Janik. It is worth mentioning that only one team from a given country is always invited to the competition.
Apart from the robot competition, it is important for the organizers of the event to pay attention to the challenges facing the world. This year it is the protection of the oceans.

Formula Systems belonging to the Asseco Group has been ranked 4th with nearly PLN 5.5 billion of assets held in 23 countries in total, and Asseco International has been ranked 8th with PLN 3.1 billion of assets held in 26 markets. In terms of sales revenues, Formula Systems has been ranked 5th with PLN 5.4 billion, while Asseco International has been ranked 9th with PLN 2.6 billion.
The ranking of Rzeczpospolita has been prepared on the basis of data from annual financial statements of companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), as well as information disclosed by non-public entities.

For the assessment of the financial position and business development of the Asseco Group, the basic figures published on a non-IFRS basis constitute an important piece of information. They are complementary to the data reported under the IFRS standard*. In the first half of 2019, non-IFRS operating profit amounted to PLN 565 million and was higher by 13%, while non-IFRS net profit amounted to PLN 180 million.
This was another good quarter for Asseco. We are satisfied with our results and once again we report double-digit increases in revenues and operating profit. We are particularly pleased with the positive impact of our strategy, which is based on international expansion. Over PLN 3 billion in revenues and 18%-growth in the Formula Systems Group companies, as well as PLN 1.3 billion in sales and 10%-growth in Asseco International are the result of consistent diversification of our business. Recent acquisitions give us interesting prospects for growth on new markets and for expanding our offer of innovative IT products. We are also satisfied with our performance in Poland, especially in the banking sector. Despite a very successful 2018 year and a high base effect associated with it, in the past six months we again achieved excellent results and we also see good prospects in the public sector. Large tenders were resolved and we signed new, important agreements with public sector institutions and enterprises, including ARiMR (the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture), KRUS (the Farmers' Social Security Fund), ZUS (the Social Insurance Institution) and PGNiG. We are also actively developing promising areas, such as cyber security or cloud solutions, said Rafał Kozłowski, Vice President of the Management Board, Asseco Poland.
The sales revenues of the Asseco Group are diversified by sectors. In the first half of 2019 the banking and finance segment accounted for 40% (PLN 2.0 billion) of total sales, the general business segment for 37% (PLN 1.8 billion) and the public administration segment for 23% (PLN 1.2 billion). Asseco is also geographically diversified and presents its results broken down by three segments: Formula Systems generated 61% of the Group's consolidated revenues (PLN 3 billion), Asseco International - 27% (PLN 1.3 billion), and Asseco Poland - 12% (PLN 0.6 billion).
At present, the Group's order backlog for 2019 at the level of revenues amounts to PLN 9.1 billion and is by 13% higher than in the case of the backlog presented in August 2018.

The Asseco Informacje Medyczne application ensures efficient exchange of medical documentation between patients and physicians and medical personnel. The solution enables remote access to information on treatment and results of examinations, without the need to visit a facility. What is important, the entire process takes place in compliance with the highest security standards for the protection of sensitive data. The application also reduces the time of a visit, as patients can submit their examination documents before they visit at a facility.
said Sylwia Sobczak, Director of the Voivodeship Hospital in Toruń.
, said Krzysztof Groyecki, Vice President of the Management Board of Asseco Poland.
Asseco is currently piloting the Informacje Medyczne application in selected locations, including the St. Ludwig Children's Hospital in Kraków.

The first day of the Security Case Study will feature a debate on the status of implementation of the National Cyber Security System Act. Among its participants will be Andrzej Dopierała, President of the Management Board of Asseco Data Systems and ComCERT and Vice President of the Management Board of Asseco Poland.
The Law on the National Cyber Security System came into force in 2018. It imposes new obligations on, among others, digital service providers, and therefore IT companies as well. Entities subject to the law, according to its provisions, should have effective mechanisms for securing their digital assets, be able to assess cyber security risks, and report information on serious incidents and their handling to one of the CSIRTs. Among the entities covered by the law are companies, providing cloud services. Asseco has an extensive portfolio of products that it offers in a SaaS model. They are capable of detecting and countering cyber threats in an effective manner. At SCS, we will talk more broadly about how to meet the regulator's stipulations in practice, as well as present our systems that help reaching this goal said Andrzej Dopierała.
The two-day Security Case Study 2019 conference will also feature Asseco's cybersecurity solutions, drones equipped with specialized software, as well as information on effective ways to prevent cyber incidents. Representatives from the Asseco Group - Asseco Poland, Asseco Data Systems, Asseco Business Solutions and ComCERT - will be present at the booth.
The Security Case Study Conference attracts hundreds of participants from the IT Security community each year. Attendees include directors of security departments, those responsible for administering IT networks and systems, heads of audit departments, information security experts, representatives of the uniformed services, as well as IT solution providers.
