Asseco Data Systems (ADS) has been built on the basis of expertise and many years of experience of six Polish subsidiaries of Asseco Group, namely ADH-Soft, CK Zeto Łódź, Combidata Poland, Z.U.I Otago, PI Zeto Bydgoszcz, and Unizeto Technologies. ADS is a provider of IT products and services, as well as ICT infrastructure solutions. The company’s key operating segments are enterprises and public administration institutions in the local market, therefore, apart from Gdynia, the company has business divisions in 9 other locations. ADS also provides IT systems dedicated to customers operating on the national level, such as leasing companies and financial institutions. Moreover, it is the largest provider of electronic signature services in Poland. The company’s operations include the management of electronic documents as well as mass print-out and e-mailing services. It is also a leading provider of training services and web-based platforms for human capital management and e-learning. Furthermore, ADS is engaged in the management of modern data processing centers. The company’s CEO is Andrzej Dopierała, an experienced manager and Vice President of the Management Board at Asseco Poland, the parent of Asseco Group. Asseco is the sixth largest software vendor in Europe and runs business operations in 54 countries worldwide.
“On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of our city, we often reiterate that Gdynia is traditionally modern. Thinking about the future, we do not forget about our great history. In the twenties of the last century, many courageous and enterprising people came here being ready to thrust themselves into the vortex of change, in order to build a modern city and port. After more than nine decades, I am proud to admit that Gdynia is still an attractive place for business, offering new jobs for outstanding professionals, and that companies such as Asseco – which has operated at various levels in this city for many years – are still able to develop new initiatives,” emphasized Wojciech Szczurek, President of Gdynia.
“Gdynia is a modern city, offering attractive opportunities for business. We are able to experience that on a daily basis, because Asseco Poland teams have worked here for years. I am very pleased that the expansion of Asseco Data Systems, our youngest Polish subsidiary, is going to start in this place,” commented Adam Góral, President of Asseco Poland.
“We managed to incorporate unique competence of experts and specialists into one company. We presently employ nearly 700 persons, of which 65 in Gdynia. Until the summer vacation, we plan to have a total of more than 1,000 people working at all of our 10 locations. Building on this potential will allow us to become a reliable partner in the creation, development and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure,” said Andrzej Dopierała, President of Asseco Data Systems S.A. “With such a headcount and revenues exceeding PLN 400 million, we can safely claim to be one of the leading IT players in Poland,” he added.
The main purpose of building ADS is to create better business growth opportunities for companies that used to operate separately. This will allow them to gain bigger contracts and raise additional capital to finance their investment projects. The company will also benefit from the significant brand awareness and well-established market position of Asseco. The large scale operations of ADS will also translate into its stronger standing within the whole Asseco Group. The company will closely cooperate with other subsidiaries of the Group, operating both in Poland and abroad. The offering of ADS already includes several products that are distributed internationally, and we want to expand our exports with the assistance of Asseco’s foreign operations.

The total purchase price of TSG shares will be USD 50 million, with each of the parties acquiring a 50% stake in the company for USD 25 million. This gives us a solid base on which we can build. We can think of no better partner in this acquisition than Israel Aerospace Industries and look forward to our close collaboration,” said Guy Bernstein, CEO of Formula Systems.
Asseco Group continues to intensify its activities in the defense industry. The company has a proven track record of projects implemented, among others, for the Polish Ministry of National Defense, NATO, and the Frontex agency.
