Asseco Data Systems will combine strong expertise and many years of experience of all of its constituent companies. It is going to offer IT solutions and software for local administration and enterprises. ADS will also provide dedicated IT systems for customers on the national level, such as leasing companies and financial institutions. Moreover, it will be the largest electronic signature center operating in Poland. The company’s operations will furthermore include the management of electronic documents as well as mass print-out and e mailing services. It will become a leading provider of training services and web-based platforms for human capital management and e-learning. Finally, ADS will also manage modern data processing centers. “This company will combine unique expertise of nearly a thousand of IT experts and specialists,” said Andrzej Dopierała, CEO of Asseco Data Systems S.A. “Hence, we will be able to become a reliable partner in the creation, development and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure,” he added. The main purpose of establishing Asseco Data Systems is to create better opportunities for business growth for its constituent companies by working together. This will allow us to gain bigger contracts and raise additional capital to finance our investments. The company will also benefit from the significant potential resulting from Asseco’s brand awareness and well-established market position. The large scale operations of ADS will also translate into its stronger standing within the whole Asseco Group. The company will be engaged in close cooperation with the Infrastructure Division of Asseco Poland (being managed by Andrzej Dopierała), and it will also create joint offers with other subsidiaries of the Group, including Asseco Business Solutions which specializes in ERP systems. The offering of ADS will also include several products with potential for international distribution that can be accomplished with the assistance of Asseco’s foreign operations.“The establishing of ADS will bring measurable benefits to our existing and prospective clients that will have access to a broader portfolio of innovative and competitive products, services and solutions,” commented Andrzej Dopierała. “With greater potential, extensive know-how and a very good knowledge of the customer needs, our company will be able to become an even better partner to work with,” he added.ADS will commence its operating activities at the beginning of 2016, in ten locations spread across Poland. The company’s organizational structure will be based on business units that will be responsible for specific products, services or clients. This will allow for the efficient and orderly distribution of tasks, and will contribute to a high level of customer service.

The Big Family Card is a result of the implementation of the Government Programme for Big Families and it offers a system of discounts and additional entitlements for families with at least three children, both at public institutions and private companies. Currently, this initiative is partnered by more than 880 firms and institutions.Until now, more than 1.2 million Big Family Cards have already been issued. Bearing in mind that the total number of people eligible to receive such cards is 3.4 million, the implementation of a modern software system will certainly streamline and facilitate the process of serving such a large group of beneficiaries. In this project, Asseco will be responsible for the design, creation and implementation of the BFC Information System. It will enable the implementation of statutory tasks and support issues, including the acceptance of applications in electronic form. In addition, the company will take care of the system maintenance over the next 3 years. The BFC Information System will be open to the exchange of services and information with external systems such as PESEL (registry of population), CEIDG (registry of small businesses), KRS (registry of companies), which will be possible over the Central Social Security Information System (CSIZS) that has been developed also by Asseco. The BFC programme is aimed to promote the model and a positive image of multi-child families. It is also intended to increase development and life opportunities for children and young people from such families.

Asseco Poland, Teldat, Siltec, Enigma, CMGI and the Military Technical Academy have formed a consortium that will offer a high-tech Battlefield Management System (BMS).The national “BMS Consortium” has been established in response to the process of modernization and computerization of the Polish army initiated by the Ministry of National Defense. Armies around the world are investing in systems of this class and therefore the “BMS Consortium” also has a chance for foreign expansion. The “BMS Consortium” is composed of only domestic companies and the Polish Military Technical Academy (WAT). They compete in a tender for the supply of the Battlefield Management System for the Polish Military Forces. In the age of digitalization of war and weaponry, this solution will be one of the key military IT systems used to manage combat at the tactical level. It will support the processes of command and communication between the staff and crews of all kinds of combat vehicles, including Rosomak transporters. Information from the battlefield will be transmitted to the command headquarters in real time, allowing to correct the adopted tactics of combat. The solution can be operated independently as well as provide a basis for the construction of further IT systems.“Establishing of the national “BMS Consortium” composed of Asseco, Teldat, Siltec, WAT, Enigma, and CMGI creates huge opportunities for equipping the Polish army with an IT system that will support both officers and soldiers on the battlefield, while significantly increasing their command capabilities, striking power and survival chances,” said Professor Andrzej Najgebauer, Head of Research Team for Modelling, Simulation and Computer Decision Support in Conflict and Crisis Situations at the Military Technical Academy. “The scientific team of our Information Systems Institute operating at the Faculty of Cybernetics of WAT, which I am honoured to manage, has many years of experience in modelling, simulation and decision support in conflict situations that may also contribute to the success of this project. In my opinion, the consortium has all the required products and experience to be considered as a qualified vendor of BMS for the Polish Military Forces,” he added. The national “BMS Consortium” combines the achievements of Polish companies with the wealth of knowledge gathered by the Military Technical Academy. The Consortium has extensive experience, including in the scope of battlefield management systems, communications, security and protection of information, as well as integration, long-term maintenance and development of ICT solutions. The leader of the consortium is Asseco Poland. “Asseco is the largest IT company in Poland with a well-established market position and many years of experience in the execution of complex, large-scale information technology projects,” said Przemysław Borzestowski, Vice President of Asseco Poland. “We are a recognized provider of software solutions for Polish uniformed services, as well as for institutions and agencies of NATO and the European Union. In addition, we engage in innovative projects where we can participate in research programs and create technologies of the future. Good examples are space programs carried out by the European Space Agency or projects implemented for Frontex,” he added. The tender for the delivery of a tactical BMS for the Polish army is open only for domestic organizations that will be responsible for the production, modernization and maintenance of the solution. The Ministry of National Defense has limited this tendering procedure to domestic entities in order to protect the fundamental interests of national security. “We know and understand the needs of the Polish Military Forces as regards the capabilities to be supported by a modern, automated command system at the tactical level. We have all the necessary knowledge, skills and full technical readiness to provide the Polish army with a top quality product that will be internally consistent both in terms of hardware and software, as well as compatible with thousands of specialized IT solutions successfully used by the Military Forces,” said Professor Janusz Kręcikij, PhD, Head of the Experts Team at CMGI. “Moreover, we have the right expertise to ensure state-of-the-art services and modifications for this product in accordance with the actual needs,” he added.Teldat company has developed a proprietary system called BMS Jaśmin. The functionality and technology of this solution have been for many years dynamically adapted to match the needs of the Polish army. Furthermore, it has been already tested during military drills, both Polish and international.“We have been actively working on the development of the national battlefield management system since 2006. We have had a production version of this system for a long time. It can be best proven by actual tests that were carried out as early as in 2010, during the ASTER military drills to which over a dozen companies were invited by the National Defense Department, and subsequently during the BORSUK drills where our product was the only one to satisfy all the requirements set forth by the Polish Military Forces, as confirmed by opinions of the Ministry of National Defense. For many years the system has successfully passed even the most comprehensive tests, including those conducted during international military drills such as Combined Endeavor, NATO CWID/CWIX, and Bold Quest. It was often the only Polish solution implemented in combat vehicles and subjected to mobile testing,” said Henryk Kruszyński, PhD, President of Teldat. “Technological maturity of our product is also reliably evidenced by certificates and confirmations issued by NATO, demonstrating international recognition of this solution,” he added.Other solutions that have been successfully tested during the ASTER drills are cryptographic protection tools developed by Enigma. These solutions have been certified for cryptographic security for the needs of CONFIDENTIAL, NATO CONFIDENTIAL, EU CONFIDENTIAL clauses, by the Cyber Security Office at the Military Counterintelligence Service, as well as by the ICT Security Department of the Internal Security Agency. Within the national project for the development of the Battlefield Management System, Enigma, leveraging on its 20 year long experience, will be responsible for the design and creation of a cryptographic protection subsystem.

The project includes both the development and maintenance of the computer system used by the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund to manage the provision of retirement and pension benefits to farmers. This will enable KRUS to pay such benefits and process relevant applications on a timely basis, as well as to adjust their operating processes to legislative changes. The agreement shall be carried out over a period of 4 years.“We will support the central IT system of KRUS which is used by 1.4 thousand employees in 47 locations,” said Andrzej Dopierała, Vice President of Asseco Poland. “Our task is not only to maintain the system operational, but also to ensure its development. Our specialists will be responsible for the provision, implementation and administration of two computing centers, as well as for modifying the system so that it satisfied the needs and expectations of KRUS and complied with the applicable regulatory changes,” he added. In addition, the contractor will launch the system in the software as a service version to be integrated with the Workflow platform. The platform streamlines data processing and flow, and it also integrates individual domain management systems that are utilized by KRUS for management of social insurance contributions and benefits, as well as for document management and archiving. The Farmer system has been created by ZETO Bydgoszcz, an Asseco Group company. The Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS) is an institution providing social security services to Polish farmers in the scope of collection of insurance contributions, awarding and payment of cash benefits, including pensions as well as accident, sickness and maternity benefits.

Asseco Utility Management Solution (AUMS) is a CIS class system that combines the billing functionality with customer services, including CRM. The system is offered by Asseco which has been placed in the “Niche Players” quadrant. Presently, AUMS is used by 15 companies of the utilities sector and supports 13.7 million customers.“We believe that the consecutive placement of AUMS in the “Magic Quadrant” is proof of Asseco’s strengthening position in the energy sector, in particular given the decreasing number of our competitors that have qualified for the report in recent years. Already more than a half of electricity customers in Poland are billed with the help of Asseco’s solution,” commented Tomasz Bendlewski, Director of Energy and Gas Industry Division.AUMS is a state-of-the-art system designed to support the sale of electricity as well as other media which can be implemented in a relatively short time. This is one of the reasons why many energy utilities such as Tauron, which runs a billing database with 5.5 million customer records, have chosen to deploy this software solution. AUMS is also successfully used by other distributors whose core business is in telecommunications. “We have ambitions and capabilities to carry out projects not only in Poland but also abroad. We believe this is the only way not to remain just a niche player in the future and to take advantage of Asseco’s global market position. Currently, we are engaged in the system implementation in Ethiopia where we help to computerize the national energy sector,” added Tomasz Bendlewski. The module-based structure of the system allows for its flexible and gradual implementation. The system is integrated with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and features a number of proprietary, unique solutions related to customer e-services and automation of business processes. Moreover, the users of AUMS appreciated the simplicity of software updates as well as higher than average satisfaction of user needs. Gartner’s report entitled “Magic Quadrant for Utilities Customer Information Systems” was published on 2 June 2015.
