The company continued a development strategy based on the sales of proprietary IT solutions - in the reporting period, its value reached PLN 3.4 billion, which accounted for 81% of the Group's total revenues. In the first half of the year, the results were above all boosted by Asseco Group's operations in foreign markets. Their share in total revenues has been gradually increasing - currently, it amounts to 83%. Asseco Group's revenues are diversified not only between geographical regions but also between sectors. The general business sector accounts for 41% of total revenues, the banking and finance sector - for 39%, and the public administration sector - for 20%. In the first half of the year, Asseco continued the cooperation with key clients and actively worked on new projects. In August 2017, the order backlog amounted to PLN 7.4 billion and was by 7% higher than in the corresponding period in the previous year.
We operate in over 50 countries and we observe high demand for IT products and services. We use this situation to further develop Asseco Group and to build value for its shareholders. In the first half of 2017, we achieved very good results and we are pleased with the Group's record revenue growth. In particular, we are happy with the growing and significant impact of our foreign companies, including Asseco SouthEastern Europe and Asseco Central Europe, among others. We have been dynamically developing the ERP segment and we have signed international contracts in various sectors. We have been exporting our Polish banking systems to Austria, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Nigeria, and one of Western European countries. Recently, we have started the implementation of a new project in the banking sector in Vietnam, said Adam Góral, President of the Management Board of Asseco Poland. In August, we partly booked profits from our investment and sold a 20% stake in Formula Systems. In total, thanks to the transaction and previous dividends, we have received over PLN 450 million, which is a higher amount that our initial investment in the company. We remain the largest shareholder of Formula Systems and we hold a stake of more than 26% of shares worth about PLN 500 million. Thanks to the transaction, we have acquired funds for further investments, he added.
In the first six months of 2017, Israeli companies maintained high growth of revenues (22%), which exceeded PLN 2.5 billion. It is worth noting that Sapiens strengthened its presence in the US market through the acquisition of insurer StoneRiver. In Central Europe, sales increased by 13%, thanks to dynamic growth in the ERP segment, among others. In the South East European market, revenues increased by 9%, and were boosted by higher revenues in the banking sector. The revenues in the Western European market went up by 2% on annual basis thanks to focus on selling proprietary solutions in Spain, Western Europe, and the African markets, where Portuguese company Exictos operates. In Poland, revenues dropped by 14%, mainly due to continued stagnation in the public tender sector. However, it is worth noting that Asseco Business Solutions, which specializes in the ERP solutions, improved its results in the reporting period.

GeoMedical is a new medical complex in Katowice, which will consist of a multi-profile specialist hospital, a diagnostic and therapeutic center and a hotel with a conference and training center. Under the project, Asseco will install and implement the AMMS integrated IT system, which will cover multi-profile units, medical offices, operating blocks, hospital pharmacies and a full administration system, including accounting, staffing and payroll departments. AMMS will be integrated into a laboratory system (LIS) and a radiological diagnostic system. The implementation is due to end on October 30th 2017. It is worth pointing out that this is Asseco's another project for a large private medical facility.
The ability to deliver commercial software services was an important factor which encouraged GeoMedical to choose Asseco Medical Management Solutions. AMMS offers variety of features that facilitate patient care and the settlement of chargeable health benefits. Such solutions are available in both inpatient and outpatient care systems, said Jarosław Kończyło, Deputy Sales Director at Asseco Poland's Health Care Division.
AMMS is a comprehensive IT solution dedicated to large and mid-sized hospitals, clinics, medical centers and outpatient clinics. It covers facilities' medical (HIS) and administrative (ERP) departments. It incorporates several solutions dedicated to a patient identification process, ie referral registration based on two-dimensional bar codes and storage of a registered person's identity data. It also allows for printing and reading referrals in encoded form. Passing these types of documents between different units in electronic form shortens the time of patients' registration and eliminates errors resulting from incorrect handwriting readings.
An important criterion for choosing AMMS was the ability to install the system in the Data Processing Center. This is important because GeoMedical is one of the first examples in the healthcare sector, where a management has decided to use an external IT infrastructure. The client will use tools provided under the Iaas (Infrastructure as a Service) model by the Data Center owned by Asseco Data Systems. This eliminates the need to purchase servers because thanks to cloud computing, used server resources can be flexibly scaled, based on the number of opened units in the hospital.
In the case of projects implemented for medical institutions, one of the most important issues is to ensure a high level of security of sensitive data stored. Asseco Data Systems' Data Center, thanks to the highest standard of services and experience in processing large amounts of sensitive data in complex projects, has the competence to meet these requirements, said Marcin Lebiecki, Director of the Asseco Data Systems' Data Center.
The hospital is still in the process of finishing works and the installation of medical equipment. Already at the beginning of September, a complex of specialist clinics and a diagnostic imaging department will be opened, while in October a multi-profile treatment department will provide services to first patients.

Success is not a result of luck. The prosperity and future of states is determined by a strong and stable economy, so patriotism must be expressed through the support of a local economy. This requires daily, concrete action and thinking in terms of common interest. Therefore, for me, "economic patriotism" is nothing more than "economic wisdom", said Adam Góral, President of the Management Board of Asseco Poland.
